紀錄片《十二夜》喚起民眾對動物生命權的重視，馬英九總統今天與動保團體座談表示，為加強動物保護的行政力，未來應在農業部下將設置常設性的「動物保護會」，由農業部長擔任召集人，建議地方縣市設立「動保會」對口單位，比照治安會報，每二、三個月定期召開會議，由地方首長主持，中央扮演督導角色，考核地方政府成效並對外公布。
