農曆春節過後，美國大聯盟各隊將陸續展開春訓，今年有王建民、陳偉殷、羅嘉仁、李振昌、王維中等5人獲邀參加大聯盟春訓，他們都有機會拚上大聯盟，讓今年球季更加熱鬧。

王建民去年選擇加入紅人隊，原因就是他評估之後，認為在紅人隊擠進大聯盟的機會最大。建仔去年先加入洋基，6月初使用「逃脫條款」，轉隊到藍鳥隊，終於等到上大聯盟的機會，可惜表現不理想，未能在大聯盟站穩腳步。

去年底建仔返台，他說「再給自己2年的時間」，如果這2年無法再拚上大聯盟，王建民就會考慮返台發展，因此今年對建仔來說，將是相當關鍵的一年。

金鶯隊陳偉殷上季戰績7勝7敗、防禦率4.07，若無意外，他仍會是金鶯隊5位主力先發投手之一，而本季也是殷仔在金鶯合約的最後一年，陳偉殷希望自己能夠健康投完整季，用最好的成績拿到更好的合約。
