結束4場客場之旅，火箭台北時間17日早上10點30分要在自家地盤面對雷霆，擁有Kevin Durant坐鎮，火箭不得掉以輕心，一鬆懈除了輸球，更可能被打爆。

少了Russell Westbrook，Durant常顯得孤掌難鳴，但他過去8場平均34.8分，且又有不錯的傳球能力，一但讓活絡起隊友的進攻，以火箭最近低迷的三分球命中率，陷於落後就難追分。

此出戰鵜鶘為例，火箭全隊13次出手，只投進4顆，雷霆又以內線防守聞名，外線不能給予支援，Dwight Howard的擔子只會更重。

而且雷霆還有Kendrick Perkins與Serge Ibaka把關禁區，而Howard最近有過早陷入犯規麻煩的狀況，外線若又在此時熄火，對火箭就情況不妙。

雷霆又是James Harden的老東家，雷霆有一定程度的了解，林書豪的傳球助攻能力就顯得重要，他得帶起其他人的進攻火力。
