國泰金控旗下國泰世華銀行宣布，該行上海分行上海自貿試驗區支行已獲得上海銀監局核發籌建許可，為大陸核准第一家台資銀行正式進軍上海自由貿易試驗區，將爭取於今年第二季開幕。

國泰世華銀行表示，上海自貿試驗區自2013年9月底掛牌成立以來，已吸引多家中、外資企業及金融機構進駐，未來自貿試驗區支行將可享受上海自貿試驗區政策開放之優勢，協助上海分行擴展新業務及掌握相關商機，並有效開拓更全面的跨境貿易業務。

國泰世華銀行上海分行在2010年開業，也是首家在大陸地區開業的台資銀行。國泰世華銀行指出，今年上海分行除將增加上海閔行支行及上海自貿試驗區支行兩個新支行外，也將因應業務拓展需求而申請增資10億元人民幣、青島分行則預計於今年中開業、並計畫申設大陸子銀行；此外，目前國泰世華銀行於越南及柬埔寨也都設有子銀行。

國泰世華銀行並強調，未來仍將持續積極布局亞洲，建立更完整綿密的金融服務網絡，提供更優質、多元及創新的金融服務，滿足廣大客戶需求，朝向「亞太地區最佳金融機構」的目標大步邁進。
