餵食老妻農藥 蔡姓老翁22日不治

嘉義縣82歲蔡姓老翁多年來照顧中風臥床老妻，18日他和前媳婦吵架後，涉嫌餵妻和自己喝農藥，蔡妻19日不治，蔡姓老翁22日凌晨過世。

蔡姓老翁和妻子農藥中毒嚴重，雙雙宣告不治，家屬相當悲傷，檢警相驗時，家屬沒有意見。不過檢警表示，仍將於解剖蔡妻遺體，查明她的死因。

檢方表示，蔡翁夫婦喝劇毒農藥，最後都無法說話，所幸基層員警在最初調查時，在蔡妻還有意識即做好筆錄，蔡妻提到先生對她很好，每餐由他餵食，不知先生餵她農藥，證實蔡妻並無自殺意念；但蔡翁涉及的殺人罪，依刑事訴訟法規定，因蔡翁死亡，將簽結不起訴。
