泰國政府拒絕 延後大選

泰國政府今天拒絕，將明年2月大選延後。先前警察與反政府抗議民眾在曼谷發生衝突，造成1名員警死亡，雙方數十人受傷。

副總理邦特（Phongthep Thepkanjana）在電視發表談話指出：「選舉委員會說，舉行選舉會引起暴亂，但政府認為，延後選舉引起的暴亂會更多。」

警民衝突再次爆發，使總理盈拉（YingluckShinawatra）面臨的危機加深。數週來群眾在街頭集會以圖限制盈拉家族的政治主導力量，已使她旗下政府動搖。

這種長時間衝突，使得曼谷的中產階級和菁英分子全面與效忠盈拉兄長戴克辛（Thaksin Shinawatra）的鄉村與工人階級選民對立。
