澳洲維省人口增長位居全澳首位

【大紀元2013年09月27日訊】（大紀元記者安妮澳洲悉尼編譯報導）澳洲維省人口的迅猛增長使其已成為全澳人口增長最快的省份。

據澳廣報導，維省的人口增長已經躍升至每年10萬多。統計局估計，截至3月份維省人口增長了1.82%。今年前三個月，該省也是人口增長最快的省份。

維省財長奧布萊恩（Michael O'Brien）說，人們從各地湧向維省。

「人們來自不同的省份。有趣的是，維省已創下自2002年3月以來季度人口遷入的最高記錄。」奧布萊恩表示，儘管這是增強維省人信心的一個積極跡象，但也給公共服務帶來一些壓力。他說：「維省財力強大，但人口增長確實給我們帶來一些壓力。這意味著我們需要建設基礎設施、公共交通、道路和醫院等，以確保維省能夠應付人口增長。」
