南迴鐵路經過兩夜工作人員搶通，今天上午順利通車，首班車次是10點25分從高雄新左營開往台東的231次自強號，當列車在12點13分，以每小時25公里的速度安全通過枋山二號隧道事故路段時，原本疲憊的工程人員頓時士氣大振，難掩喜悅拍手鼓掌，比出大拇指稱讚。

上午12點13分，看著首班車次以每小時25公里的速度，經過枋山二號隧道事故路段，讓現場屏息以待的工程人員大聲叫好，原本略顯疲態的神情頓時輕鬆許多，直說：「辛苦總算有了代價。」
