【於慶中／綜合外電報導】被土耳其稱為是「世紀工程」、橫跨歐亞大陸的馬爾馬雷海底隧道(Marmaray Tunnel)，通車僅一天就發生意外。當地時間周三(30日)上午，隧道的供電系統突然發生故障，造成列車短暫停駛，乘客被迫下車在鐵軌上步行，不久後恢復供電，列車也重新正常運作。

馬爾馬雷海底隧道是首座貫通歐亞兩大洲的海底隧道，周二(29日)才舉行通車典禮。隧道連接跨海鐵路建設，位在博斯普魯斯海峽(Bosphorus)下，全長13.6公里，深達海床下60公尺，是全球最深的海底隧道。
