「學學台灣」 黃秋生批港對菲軟弱

馬尼拉３年前發生香港遊客人質事件，造成15名人質中７人受傷、８人死亡，菲律賓總統艾奎諾三世至今拒絕道歉，將責任推給槍手一人，引起香港各界憤怒，有政治團體提案限制菲傭和菲律賓人入境，強硬手法引發爭議。黃秋生則在臉書表示「學下台灣啦」，並批評香港人沒骨氣，是東亞病夫。

此外香港灣仔俗稱「囍帖街」或「印刷街」的利東街，因市區重建計畫即將絕跡封閉，居民爭取保留歷史意義濃厚的街區卻遭拒絕。黃秋生也在臉書粉絲頁中感嘆，不要說利東街，連灣仔都快要消失了：「我們不要窮得只有錢。」他並說：「我們有香港人，只要還有香港人便有希望。」
