兩年一屆的世界鬍鬚錦標賽於9月初在美國紐奧良市拉開帷幕，這個趣味十足的比賽歷史悠久，從1900年舉辦第一屆至今，每屆都會吸引世界無數的『美髯公』前來參賽。據《紐約每日新聞》近日報導，今(2013)年有150位來自各地的男性前來新奧爾良參賽，他們認為鬍鬚就是面部的發型，有創意才能突出個人特色。
