今天是馬林魚隊投手Henderson Alvarez值得記住的一天，他投6局失3分，並靠自己的生涯首轟，拿到今年第3勝，幫助馬林魚隊以4比3擊敗小熊。

馬林魚隊第一局就打下1分，但Alvarez很快就在一局下，連本帶利把分數吐回去，讓小熊隊取得3比1領先。但小熊隊沒有開心很久，因為Alvarez第2局敲出三分砲，逆轉戰局，換成馬林魚領先1分。

「當我打中球時，就知道會飛出去。」Alvarez說。這一戰他2支2，打擊率跳上0.368，4局下還有一次犧牲短打。提到那次犧牲短打，馬林魚隊總教練Mike Redmond其實有點後悔。

「叫Alvarez點，似乎不是個好戰術，我該讓他打的，」Redmond說，「當時我只想推進跑者上二壘，但要是我讓Alvarez打，他也許能敲出2分砲的。」

後來Alvarez第7局敲出安打時，跑壘拉到大腿，退場休息。賽後這位投手說，沒有大礙，會做好下次先發的準備。

Alvarez退場後，Mike Dunn、Chad Qualls、Steve Cishek相繼登板，守住1分領先。Dunn跟Qualls各獲中繼點，Cishek拿下今年第29次救援成功。 (接下一頁)
